Pediatric Neurosurgery

NYU Langone’s Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery has a national and international reputation as one of the world’s leading centers for the neurosurgical treatment of children with brain and spinal tumors, epilepsy, hydrocephalus, pediatric spine disorders, and other congenital and developmental conditions requiring neurosurgical care. We focus on providing comprehensive, state-of-the-art care in an empathetic and supportive environment, employing a team approach that integrates a child’s care with NYU Langone’s pediatric specialists in neurology, neuro-oncology, endocrinology, ophthalmology, neuroradiology, neuropsychology, intensive care, anesthesiology and rehabilitation. In addition, we are committed to providing ongoing neurosurgical care for our patients beyond their childhood years. With the aid of a dedicated Pediatric Neurosurgical Social Worker, we continue to follow and treat our pediatric patients throughout adulthood and assist them with transition to other adult medical providers. The Division is also committed to caring for new adult patients with hydrocephalus and other conditions related to congenital and pediatric-type acquired neurosurgical disorders.
